Hadley Donaldson/Autistk has been designing gig posters for the last few years for a bunch of different bands like The Mint Chicks, The National, Broken Social Scene, Cut Off Your Hands, Fighting the Shakes(R.I.P(?)), The Brian Jonestown Massacre, A Low Hum, The Gossip, Girl Talk and blah di blah di blah. So yeah anyway, quite a lot. Enough that he can actually put an exhibition on and still leave out some favourites.
There will be very limited edition prints of each of the posters available at the show. Signed + numbered. All that jazz. This’ll be your only chance to get copies of these posters. And they’ll be at prices you can afford in these economically retarded times. aaaaand, it’s nearly Christmas. They’d be fully chur as presents for anyone who enjoys bits of paper with pictures on them. And who doesn’t?

On the back of their new album Cardinology, the US alt-country group are returning to New Zealand, and will play their first ever Wellington show at The Opera House on Tuesday February 3 2009.
Last time they visited Auckland, The Cardinals put on an unforgettable performance that has stayed in fans memories since. If you missed that one, here is the chance to redeem yourself.

FILMTIKI’S ‘HOW TO’ COMPETITION
MAKE US A FILM AND WIN $1500. SIMPLE AS THAT.
Actually, there is a bit more to it, but essentially FilmTiki is on a search for a ‘How to’ guide for their new site and what better way to show it, than through the power of film.
Therefore, with this in mind, we have decided to invite all filmmakers to come up with a 90-120 second clip on ‘How to FilmTiki’.
Not only does the winner receive $1500, but will also feature on the front page of our website and have their work screened during our tour of major film festivals throughout 2009.
Essentially the film will simply explain not only how to use FilmTiki’s Wiki and Tool, but the benefits and possibilities that it offers to filmmakers. Submissions are welcome from anywhere in the world, though entrants must be over the age of 18-years-old.
